Doctor Shannon Becker

Dr. Becker spent over 14 years in academic research, conducting research at three high ranking universities in North Carolina, and published in prominent peer reviewed journals on the topic of cancer, genetics, and evolution. Dr. Becker writes scientific reviews of biological and chemical interactions with essential oils, CO2 extracts, and their chemical constituents. Dr. Becker has established aromatherapy as a complementary modality for Ehlers-Danlos syndrome management. Dr. Becker has most recently published in AromaCulture Magazine, and by the Tisserand Institute. Dr. Becker is a peer reviewer, and serves on AIA’s research committee. Dr. Becker consults for several industry leaders, and for clinical aromatherapists. She possesses a unique skill set, which perfectly represents the movement towards evidence based aromatherapy.
